I. Position Summary:
Under direction of RN, provides assistance in patient care in accordance to the patient care standards in a comprehensive manner through the use of the nursing process. The PCT-C performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC.
II. Position Requirements:
Current BLS Certification required. Current Colorado certification as a CNA required.
Graduate of Accredited CNA program
One to two years experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Demonstrates good organizational skills.
Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
Some specified skills may be required by specific departments.
III. Degree of Supervision Required:
Under supervision of RN.
IV. Orientation Period :
Minimum of 2 weeks contingent upon experience. Extensive orientation may be required and will be determined by Department Director.
