Under the supervision of the AVP of Oncology Services, the/Radiation Oncology Secretary/performs the scheduling of new patients, follow ups and simulations; coordinates new patient information and obtains verification of insurance and preauthorization of insurance for all radiation oncology patients’ treatments, imaging studies and biopsies. Complies and reviews and labels all medical record documentation from Mosaiq to ensure complete medical records for HPF. Provides administrative support for all staff, including the AVP of Oncology, Assistant Director and Medical Director,
High School graduate or equivalent
Experience Medical terminology preferred. 6 months experience in a medical setting preferred. Solid communication skills required.

Minimal supervision, individual proceeds on his/her own initiative in compliance with policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the director.
