The SAP Ariba Payables Operations Manager is charged with managing the Business Consultants who are responsible for the execution of the Ariba Payables solutions….. included in Ariba’s Working Capital Solutions, Ariba Pay, Supply Chain Financing and other financial managed services which includes influencing customers to adopt Best Practices, driving timing implementation, identifying obstacles while recommending creative solutions and ultimately delivering against the project milestones drive Ariba’s revenue. The candidate brings a strong understanding of B2B electronic commerce and deep knowledge of working capital improvement and payables expertise to the table while delivering sound engagements.
The Ariba Payables Deployment Manager is also expected to actively deliver while maneuvering around client organizational, strategic, and operational issues impacting project efforts. They are focused on the rapid transformation of client organizations into world-class managers of working capital, through innovative, high-quality, Working Capital/Finance Solutions that create sustainable bottom-line and balance sheet results for Ariba clients. Core to these skill sets is emotional intelligence & influential speaking style.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages internal and external resources to optimize client impact within project budget, timeline, supplier onboarding and other deliverables.
Manages customer and internal team member’s expectations to optimize productivity and increase impact of solutions.
Guide team members to effectively manage complex projects in ambiguous environments.
Effectively manages difficult situations, whether they are client- or team-related.
Substantial experience within electronic commerce industry and working capital improvement arenas; combines functional with industry-specific expertise for solution development and guidance.
Communicates complex ideas succinctly and in an easy to understand manner.
Demonstrates ongoing ability to manage year over year growth in client program & develop creative new ideas to gain access to additional spend to manage.

Ariba Solution Expertise
Able to quickly ramp up knowledge of Ariba’s finance/working capital improvement solutions sets including: Dynamic Discounting, P-Cards, Supply Chain Finance, and Receivables Exchange.
Clearly understands the Working Capital Managed Services and delivers against scope, timeline and revenue expectations
Identifies opportunities to refine existing or develop new intellectual property and methodology, frameworks and tools (e.g., questionnaires, presentations, implementation methodology, performance management) based on project experience, research, and analysis.
Synthesizes learnings into a logical story using quantitative/qualitative data and/or sound reasoning.
Establishes credibility as a solutions expert with customers (e.g., positive customer feedback) and within Ariba
Quickly learns new Ariba solutions in order to present them credibly and confidently to clients and Ariba consultants.
Experience in cash acceleration tools and products (Early Pay Discounts, Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Sales or Card related products)
Experience or knowledge in international accounting standards and VAT
Knowledge of eInvoicing requirements
Experience overseeing multidimensional projects within complex global corporations
Experience working with fast paced, IT driven organizations
Experience in designing and deploying supplier outreach programs.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in project and client management. Strong analytical and organizational talent.
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Must have ability to influence senior level customer sponsors through a trusted advisor role
Must have creative problem solving skills and ability to achieve goals when unexpected obstacles arise
Must be comfortable carrying revenue generating quotas
- Seven years’ experience delivering finance transformation, working capital improvement initiatives or strong consulting/delivery experience
Ability to travel 50%
