The S&E Industry Business Unit is a newly created industry group within SAP. It is a fast paced, energetic and exciting work environment full of new potential and entrepreneurial team members. We are currently seeking an experienced & highly sales driven Senior Business Development Manager Entertainment EMEA/MENA responsible for the generation of Entertainment industry revenue and pipeline in the assigned territory. Furthermore, will the role be trusted industry advisor for both SAP customers as well as SAP Account Executives. Entertainment industry currently include sectors like Casinos, Amusement Parks, Lotteries, Trade Shows, Betting, Connected Stadiums and more.


The role will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead Entertainment industry portion of SAP customer deals in collaboration with Account Executives in your assigned territory

  • Become trusted industry advisor for customers and sales executives in regional Entertainment accounts

  • Know Entertainment industry players, trends, pain points, partners and competitors

  • Build and maintain a relevant and high quality customer, pipeline and corresponding forecast (CRM) data

  • Identify, qualify and prioritize existing accounts and opportunities in your assigned territory

  • Apply business insight and marketing understanding to present and align Entertainment solutions with customers’ strategic business objectives

  • Nurture mutually beneficial long term relationships with Entertainment clients and strategic partners

  • Coordinate and utilize the SAP sales enablement network (sales, presales, marketing, etc.) to optimize opportunities and deal closure

  • Plan and front Entertainment events in your assigned territory together with SAP events team

  • Constantly seek to evolve global storyline for SAP solution portfolio for each Entertainment sub-industry in collaboration with the S&E solution management team.


Required skills

  • Proven track record in client facing business development and account management skills

  • Entertainment industry experience and network in at least one of the SAP Entertainment Verticals Casino, Lottery, Amusement Park, Trade Shows, Sports Betting, etc.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Highly customer-oriented

  • Good decision-making and negotiation skills

  • Thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment where change is a constant
