Job Description:


Accountable for the management of the Private Client Services team in Fort Collins, Colorado market. Participate in the acquisition/development of both talent and products/services to meet or exceed the Colorado markets assigned goals and objectives. Interact with peers within Wealth Management to identify and collaborate on initiatives to strengthen FNNI as a financial services provider and as a community partner. Coordinate business development efforts with peers and Managing Director, Private Client Services.

  1. Sales Management: Accountable to develop and lead a team of Private Client Service professionals including sales and support to deliver a full complement of affluent services. Effectively collaborate with subject matter experts across the bank to achieve division Goals &Objectives. Drive key relationships with affluent clients to develop business and manage the customer experience.

  2. Core Management: Coordinate with peers and Managing Director, Private Client Services to develop a clear vision, strategy, and plan of action for the team, have a solid understanding of the business, influences others to create commitment and action, and make informed decisions.

Planning & Strategy -assist in developing a clear vision, strategy, and plan of action for the team based upon current and future goals (short and/or long term).

  1. Advisory Service: The Private Client Advisor serves as advisor to wealth creators with sophisticated investment needs, both traditional and alternative, and high net worth clients whose needs gravitate more towards estate and succession planning. Given the complexity of the needs of the client segment, the Private Client Advisor will provide advisory services to up to 125 direct advisory clients.

  2. Business Development: Meet or exceed defined asset based growth and retention, individual and unit goals and profitability objectives.

  3. Cross-Referring Wealth Management Group, Wealth Investment Group and FNB Products and Services:

· Identifies and matches client needs with subject matter experts, existing business unit products and services.

· Acts as both referral receiver or originator depending on client need

· Partners with teammates and other internal bank specialists/resources for additional investment, fiduciary, credit and financial planning expertise to provide a full array of products and services to the client.

Handles all internal leads expeditiously and effectively.

  1. Community Focus: Ensure that all private client services decisions and plans/assignments align and promote: divisional/corporate image and philosophy/culture of First National in the communities serviced.

Community Involvement - Work with members of local business committees/board memberships to develop beneficial relationships with community COI's. Understand local perceptions of First National and more specifically, the Wealth Management division.

  1. Fiscal Accountability: Work collaboratively with peers and the Managing Director, Private Client Services to adhere to operational budget of Private Client Services in the Colorado market.

Develop and maintain - a set of performance metrics (Past vs. Current and Predictive)

Monitor & adjust - as needed, track and develop reporting as scheduled

  1. Compliance: Ensure subordinates are trained and comply with bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to their roles. (Ongoing)

Monitor subordinates - adherence to internal controls and take action to address employee performance issues.

Understand and adhere to all bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to role.

Complete compliance training - follow internal processes and controls as required.

Report all compliance issues - violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in the FNBO Compliance Accountability Program.

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree

  2. Minimum 5-10 years business experience with significant portion focused on the development of affluent/ultra-affluent client base

  3. Strong sales management skills and proven sales producer

  4. Solid oral and written communication skills

  5. Strong marketing, product development or training experience

Additional Qualifications:

  1. Financial planning certification or experience a plus

  2. Trust / estate planning experience a plus

  3. Investment experience a plus

  4. Series 6, 63, 7 licensing optional
