Job Responsibilities/Department Description:

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join a team of neuroscientists dedicated to developing novel therapies for diseases of the nervous system. The primary responsibility of this individual will be to validate new therapeutic targets for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and additional CNS indications under consideration. The successful candidate will have experience with a variety of in vivo and in vitro experimental techniques.


Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor degree in neuroscience, biochemistry, or biology with 0-1 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with animal handling, blood/tissue collection, drug administration/injection, perfusion, stereotaxic surgery, behavior testing, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, western blot analysis and molecular biology (DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, qRT-PCR, cloning) is desired.

Good verbal, written communication and organizational skills are required.
