To develop, implement and coordinate between United Airlines Cargo and select key customers a mutually agreed upon strategy for aggressive revenue growth. Serve as the designated representative for assigned accounts and building global key influence relationships, dealing with customers’ highest buying levels and coordinate sales and service activities at all levels.


  • Develop and maintain long-term and high-level business relationships in Germany, supporting assigned cargo customer accounts

  • Work collaboratively with local Sales Managers and Strategic Partner Managers to establish and implement sales strategies for these customers to achieve revenue goals

  • Develop strategies to increase market share, cargo revenue, and profitability

  • Communicate and coordinate account strategy to appropriate internal sources to facilitate a cohesive approach for account growth

  • Prioritize and initiate direct sales calls with key decision-makers

  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service commitments with customers

  • Protect existing account revenue; identify and generate additional revenue opportunities

  • Monitor performance and initiate necessary actions to achieve strategic plan

  • Plan, support and execute marketing and promotional activities

  • Represent the company at cargo events, such as exhibitions, trade shows, meetings

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.



  • High School/Secondary School Diploma required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred


  • Excellent MS-Office skills (Excel, Outlook and Word) required

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Must be fluent in German (written and spoken)

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Very good organizational and administrative skills

  • Ability to manage successfully multiple tasks simultaneously


  • Several years of work experience with an airline and/or freight forwarder required

  • Proven successes in sales roles

  • Excellent knowledge of the air cargo industry


  • The successful applicant must be prepared to work outside normal office hours and travel as required, according to the needs of the position

  • Driver license and own car required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Germany/EU for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable and friendly appearance and punctual attendance are essential for this position
