JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the supervision of nursing services in the CSTCC facility. Plans, implements, directs and evaluates the educational program of all personnel in the facility based on identified resident needs, staff needs, and Federal and State regulations. Responsible for new hire orientation and competency evaluation coordination. Accountable for effective communication, staff development, budget support, interdepartmental relations and personnel management. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION MINIMUM REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and one year leadership experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting. One year experience in planning, implementing and evaluating education programs in the field of Nursing. PREFERRED: Long term care experience. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current California Registered Nurse License. Current BLS certification. Director of Staff Development certification (DSD) OR two years experience and completion of DSD training within 6 months of hire.
