Community Regional Medical Center Diagnostic Rad Tech 2- Per Diem in Fresno, California

JOB SUMMARY Specialized medical professional in the art of roentgenography. Patient care specialist that work as both individual-care-provider and as part of a diagnostic team under the guidance of a Diagnostic Supervisor & the Radiologists. Assists the Supervisor with departmental operation and training of Radiology students and staff technologist. Performs tasks abiding by P&P;, State Regulations, and ALARA radiation safety principles. Utilizes x-ray photon producing equipment to image the human body. Performs under potentially stressful situations i.e., trauma cases. Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION MINIMUM REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED. California State Department of Health Services' certificate as a Certified Radiologic Technologist and Fluoroscopy Permit. Individual must be a graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology with approximately 2 years or more experience in all routine and most advanced radiologic procedures. Position also requires current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: California State Department of Health Services' certificate as Certified Radiologic Technologist and Fluoroscopy Permit, BLS certification.
