Community Regional Medical Center NICU Clinical Specialist Pharmacist - Full Time (12hr) in Fresno, California
Community Regional Medical Center is truly unrivaled in the region and measures up with top hospitals nationally. Located on a 58-acre campus in downtown Fresno, Community Regional is an academic-affiliated medical center with more than 600 beds, and serves as the only Burn and Level I Trauma Center between Sacramento and Los Angeles. Community Regional is affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy. We offer a one-year ASHP-Accredited PGY1 residency program which provides advanced training with a focus on acute care clinical practice.
Our 84-bed, 20,000-square-foot Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) provides top-notch care for infants with complex critical needs, including premature births and a variety of other diagnoses. Our growth has allowed for additional expansion of our services and we are looking for an extraordinary NICU Pharmacist to join our team.
As a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, pharmacists manage the pharmacotherapy of neonatal patients. Daily activities may include: medical rounds, drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic evaluations, application of evidence-based literature to current medication therapies, providing in-services to physicians, nurses and pharmacists, and reviewing the overall care and potential disease states of the neonatal patient.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) and valid State of California Pharmacist license. To qualify, you will need to have successfully completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or have 2 years of clinical/inpatient Pharmacist experience. Additionally, current BLS and PALS certification are needed.
We highly prefer our candidate to have completed a PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency and have certification from the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.
The mission of Community Regional Medical Center’s Department of Pharmacy Services is to provide excellence in pharmaceutical care through innovative drug distribution systems, patient care services, education, post-doctoral training, and research.
