Community Regional Medical Center Surgery - Clinical Sup Nursing - PT 12 hr in Fresno, California

JOB SUMMARY (Defines the general, level and purpose of the work performed by this job.) Responsible for assisting the Unit Manager in the planning, organizing, and directing of patient care services. Supervises the team(s) providing direct care for patients. Management and leadership skills needed included conflict management, negotiation, team building, communication, budget administration and coaching/mentoring others. Directs patient assignments, staff scheduling, patient flow, and assists in meeting financial targets by effectively assisting in managing utilization, productivity, personnel and supplies. Participates as necessary in team meetings, and represents clinical staff on appropriate committees. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: MINIMUM REQUIRED: 4 years of staff Surgical Services RN experience providing a full spectrum of care in a variety of situations. 2 years supervisory experience may be substituted in lieu of 2 years staff RN experience. PREFERRED: Experience coordinating clinical care and providing mentorship, education, and training to staff nurses. Experience as a Nurse Supervisor or a similar position in an acute care hospital. BS Nursing degree. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current California Registered Nurse License. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS, and PALS certification are required for CRMC Level 1 Trauma Center or eligible for certification and obtain within 6 months of hire into position. National Certification for area of specialty or must be eligible for certification and achieve within 6 months of hire into position. PREFERRED: CNOR
