EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
During your internship with User Assistance Ireland, you will have a chance to learn about User Assistance at SAP and get hands-on experience in working with our different user assistance deliverables. Information Developers form a link between the software development team and the SAP customer. They are part of a Lean Development scrum team and are responsible for delivering product user assistance in a clearly structured and easily digestible form. Our Intern training program teaches you the requisite skills for this and gives you a basic understanding of the business and technical concepts relevant for the work of an Information Developer. SAP’s commitment to on-the-job training offers you the opportunity to learn about SAP’s product and business strategies, build up your technical knowledge, and develop your soft skills. Your role includes:
Creating your own user assistance deliverables as part of the learning program
Language editing text to ensure high-quality delivery to customers
Supporting Information Developers with tasks, such as testing and creating graphics
Supporting communication across the extended department using different platforms, wikis, etc.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
You must be currently studying towards a third level qualification in any of the following disciplines: technical writing, English (or any other stream), applied languages, communications, or a writing-related course.
English to native-speaker standard
Ability to explain complex information in a clear and precise manner
Outstanding communication, writing, and grammar skills
Standard IT skills
A willingness to acquire product knowledge and learn new skills
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work as part of a team
