About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator who will be responsible for our SQL Server Managed Services Program, leading team members and offer our clients and partners an excellent customer experience.
We are looking for someone who has the passion for not only the technical aspects of being a Database Administrator, but also would be highly motivated to take on the responsibility to design and build a successful framework around SQL Server service offerings. This position offers you a great opportunity to build out a brand new service offering from the ground up, flexibility and the opportunity to influence decisions across the business unit.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Lead team of SQL Server DBAs
Build, improve and manage all programs, processes and services related to MS SQL Server
Work closely with other areas and their technical teams to ensure delivery of database services within the performance targets set
Interface with other Fiserv-DNA organizations to improve and implement processes, procedures and automation
Work as a consultant to deliver SQL Server Professional Services to our clients and partners
Database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements
Work with internal team members and our development organization to identify SQL Server related improvements in relation to the DNA Product Suite
Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline, computer science or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 10 years of SQL Server experience
Team lead experience required
Proven experience helping clients solve business problems
Experience in setting up monitoring/alerting of SQL Server systems as well as integrations with ticketing tools
The ability to provide clear and prompt communication flow concerning client issues between client, staff and management
Superior interpersonal skills, strong listening, written and oral communication skills with a customer-support focused attitude
Thorough knowledge of all relevant versions of SQL Server.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server High Availability solutions such as SQL Server Clustering, Always ON, etc.
Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining production SQL Server cluster environments
Expert in Performance Tuning
Extensive experience with Windows operating systems
Very strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions
Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task several issues at the same time
Travel Required: 10-25%
