Midwestern University Assistant Professor - Equine Medicine and Surgery - CVM in Glendale, Arizona


Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for an equine faculty position. We are seeking a faculty member who is excited about participating in the growth of a new veterinary college and having a role in shaping its teaching and clinical programs. The position is open to individuals with any particular expertise including, but not limited to, the following disciplines: internal medicine, surgery, sports medicine and rehabilitation, or general practice. This appointment is full-time and can be tenure-track or non-tenure-track, depending on the individual. The successful candidate will be involved in designing and implementing the equine component of the DVM curriculum as well as providing clinical services and instruction to DVM students. While independent research is not a requirement for this position, a certain degree of scholarly activity is expected of all faculty members.

The following qualifications are required:

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Evidence of excellent clinical and communication skills
  • A student-centered attitude and strong commitment to meeting the needs of our students
  • Collaborative mindset to foster a team-approach to teaching and clinical service

The following qualifications are desirable but not required:

  • Board certification or eligibility
  • Teaching experience
  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field of study
