Volvo Group Quality & Warranty Manager in * Flexible,
Quality & Warranty Manager, Sub Sahara Africa & LAPAC
You will have the overall responsibility for quality of the warranty claim process, according to its rules and policies, for warranty claims validation, for follow up and control of warranty and goodwill budgets, as well as safety & recall campaigns execution, in the Market SSA & LAPAC, which is a part of Sales Region RT International.
You will be harmonizing and coordinating activities with the Field Service Engineers, in charge of technical support locally, prioritizing quality issues with International Aftermarket support.
You will report to the Director Aftermarket SSA & LAPAC, and be part of the SSA & LAPAC Aftermarket Management Team, in close contact with Aftermarket at Sales Region International level.
Main activities and responsibilities
In this role, you are expected to:
•Manage warranty activities within Market Sub Sahara Africa & LAPAC.
•Share information and knowledge regarding warranty issues and solutions with FSE.
•Responsible for claim handling for Private Importers.
Approve claims for credit ◦Carry out warranty audits at Private Importers according to BP
Re-debit any faults found during the audits or TMA investigations.
•Responsible for SSA warranty and goodwill budget planning approval and settlement.
•Monthly follow up on settled warranty budget
•Responsible for maintaining correct warranty labour rates and accurate landing cost factors for all SSA countries
•Organising audits according to the business plan.
•Organising training of warranty claim handlers in warranty issues and keep them updated with changes in warranty rules and the systems, that are used for warranty handling.
•Development of new markets according to warranty regulations.
•Administrate recall follow-up procedures.
•Following up and measuring WCH performance, claim quality, submission and processing time.
•Assist and give practical support to importers on warranty, technical goodwill, campaign handling and warranty systems questions
•Follow-up Service campaigns and safety recalls
•Follow-up MQR (Market Quality Report) progress
•Interact with region International Parts Logistics Manager and markets commercial Aftermarket managers to secure parts readiness in support warehouses and markets prior to campaign launch
Critical competencies for the position
•Under graduation degree in engineering such as; Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc
•Min. 3 years of experience on the aftermarket department.
•Strong technical knowledge at warranty and service processes.
•Good knowledge of English, French, and Spanish, both in written and verbally.
•Analytical, excel skills
•Highly target-driven, self-motivated and willing to take responsibility
•Strong strategic planning and analytical skills as well as holistic thinking
•Confident, reliable and inspired by working in a fast changing international environment.
•Good communication skills, highly motivated, result oriented, open to team work, good presentation skills
