Alpine, an ITW company, currently has an opening for an Assembler 2 position in its Grand Prairie, TX facility to produce electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, assemblies and Alpine machine systems by assembling, testing and troubleshooting final product according to standard operating procedures. Provides technical assistance and cross-functional support as required by business and customer requirements.

Analyze assembly blueprint and specifications, plans machine building operations.
Verify conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints.
Lay out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly.
Align components for assembly and bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts together, or arranges for assembly by Welder and Electrician.
Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
Test operation of assembly manually or with powered controls.
Assemble, set up, and operate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications with wrenches, tools, calipers, and gauges to accomplish task at each level.
Follow all quality checks and procedures. Participate in root cause analysis to reduce unnecessary quality issues.
Communicates with coworkers, management, staff, the general public, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Assist in training of team members. Participates in Team activities to build relationships across the organization.
This position may be assigned other duties as needed to support plant and to meet customer needs.
High School Diploma or GED, technical school preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial related experience in setup, blueprint reading, technical math, measuring tools, machine building and/or equipment maintenance.
Ability to understand basic machinery operations
Demonstrate a willingness to cooperate in a team environment.
Ability to recognize and identify parts, problems, and offer resolution.
