Our BI Developer will work with customers, Business Analysts, and IT team members to understand business requirements. Lead the analysis and design of quality business intelligence and data solutions. Ensure solutions are aligned to business and IT strategies.
The Business Intelligence Developer leads the development of business intelligence design, coding, and testing standards with a focus on controlled implementation and lifecycle management. Coordinates with Architecture to monitor compliance against standards and best practices and acts as a mentor for IT staff. Participate in data architecture design reviews, ongoing performance monitoring, and product evaluations.

A. Core Competencies:
Experience with Microsoft SQL, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integrations Services
Experience with Data Warehousing, cube design and ETL
Exposure to PowerBI, Azure and “cloud” technologies
Excellent logical analytical programming and architecture skills with depth of experience to successfully lead both business intelligence and application development projects.
Act as a resource and mentor guiding team members in the successful execution of design, planning, development, testing, data modeling, code review, documentation, and production support activities.
Expertise in all areas of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) including systems analysis, testing / quality assurance, application development and operations.
Strong understanding of project management and business analysis techniques/methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with business partners, non-technical customers, leadership and vendors.
Maintains and expands technical knowledge base and skills to drive process improvement.
Team focused and willing to take on new responsibilities. Steps forward to mentor and assist others without being prompted.
B. Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/management information systems or in a business relevant discipline required.
Requires five or more years of relevant experience, including architecture, technical leadership and project management.
C. Physical/Sensory Demands:
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
Repetitive use of hands is required in the form of fine manipulations while using a computer keyboard.
Vision is required to transfer written information into electronic databases. Prolonged periods of visual concentration is required.
