The ETL Support Analyst provides technical support for the North American Business Intelligence & Decision Support (BI/DSS) applications. The key responsibilities are troubleshooting application code, monitor batch refresh, data validity, run efficiency, respond to application incidents and user support activities, modify Ab Initio graphs and extracts, and/or modify Datastage extracts.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responding to helpdesk tickets/incidents:
Review incoming tickets from the clients ticketing system to see if they pertain to DSS ETL
Create tickets for support work where the user did not create a ticket
Close tickets upon completion of work
Troubleshoot Ab Initio graphs and/or DataStage extracts
Communicate updates and status of troubleshooting activities on a regular basis.
Assist DSS team members in troubleshooting of existing code and data.
Load sample data in development environments.
Open/assign problem tickets with infrastructure team for UNIX hardware issues.
Open problem tickets with infrastructure team when Oracle DB Support is required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
REQUIREMENTS - Mandatory
Load monitoring and reporting on SLAs and data availability Outages and Scheduled downtime management
Ability to analyze an application problem and implement solutions
Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
Ability to learn new concepts and tools
Background in computer information systems including applications development/support
Basic understanding of relational databases
Basic understanding of UNIX
Basic understanding of Oracle (SQL)
Working knowledge of DataStage ETL
Working knowledge of Abinitio ETL
Experience supporting end-users of an application
