The Economist India currently has an opportunity for a Creative Design Manager in our Gurgaon office. In this position the individual will edit, proofread and produce various types of downloadable content and blog entries regularly, to expand our brand’s digital footprint, awareness, subscribers, and leads. The position requires excellent attention to detail, organizational and project management skills.
The design manager reports directly to the head of marketing.
The role will be based on local hours with some flexibility required to cover day-to-day contact with individuals in the United States.
In this role you would be expected to:
Create 3–4 free resources each month to drive leads, client participation and awareness. (examples include eBooks, whitepapers, info graphics, guides, templates, etc.).
Grow subscriber base by providing clients and prospects with regular, helpful content that is aligned with their needs and interests.
Collaborate with designers, product marketers, product owners, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
Design Product Specific websites and enhancements to current infrastructure as needed
Blog on an ongoing basis to support and promote our offers
Maintain a content library
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in this role you must have:
BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Experience building online audiences
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Wordpress
Excellent English grammar and writting skills
