Systems Engineer, Principal

You will use your expertise for the overall management and execution of engineering project(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system architecture and system design documentation. Ensures that all control gates are met on schedule. Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverable(s) associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Assists with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components. Coordinates the resolution of action items from design reviews, program reviews, test reviews, and TEMs that require cross-discipline coordination. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications

This position requires a TS/SCI to start. The candidate must possess an understanding of systems engineering processes. The selected candidate should possess skills in one or more of the following: -identification and definition of desired system capabilities -fielding of new capabilities -system-of-systems definition -integration practices and methods -communicating the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers -engineers, subject matter experts, customers and users.

Methodologies: Agile, Kaban, SCRUM and waterfall

Platforms: Linux OS to include Ubunto, Cent OS, and Red Hat. Cloud Based. Linux, Windows, Windows XP, UNIX, Solaris, and virtual platforms

Tools: MySQL, Apache Tomcat, LAMP, CSS, HTML, XML, JavaScript and jQuery, C#,, and Microsoft Visual Studio. JavaScript framework Angular.js. Protractor testing framework for Angular.js, Solr Edismax Query, Apache Curator.integration tools such as Jenkins and Chef/Puppet
