We’re currently seeking a General Manager to join Sodexo in the Houston metropolitan area.

This position will report directly to the District Manager, and will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the food and nutrition services in a healthcare account. This position will also be the subject matter expert in food retail programs, and conduct quality and safety audits for a healthcare system and provide training for unit managers and the frontline staff. Sodexo will provides best in class services for patient dining, retail café operations, onsite catering and physician's dining.

As our General Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Oversee all day to day food and nutrition services

Integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team.

Achieving company and client financial targets and goals

Conduct quality and safety audits

Work to achieve continuous improvement in patient satisfaction scores.

Meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations

The ideal candidate will have prior General Management experience in a multi-faceted healthcare food service operation and the ability to successfully lead and develop a team as well as the ability to creatively and effectively problem solve and manage projects. Strong understanding of Sodexo branded concepts and operational standards such as “At Your Request” is desired. Ideal candidate must have the ability to manage and execute multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Candidates must be outgoing and able to interact with the client, customers as well as staff. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connection (TMC) or similar systems as well as proficient computer skills and report management experience. Candidates should have strong financial acumen and strong attention to company policy, standards, and regulations.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
