Provide quality, comprehensive, professional dermatology care to inpatients and outpatients, including evaluation/consultation, examination, diagnosis, follow-up, medical record documentation/record-keeping, and correspondence. Provide appropriate education for the patient and family members regarding patient's illness and/or management of care. Perform ambulatory surgical procedures, to include but not limited to, biopsies, shave biopsies, excisions and repairs, cryotherapy, and intralesional injections. May be required to participate in electronic consultations (e-consults) in order to improve access to and quality of dermatology care through tele-dermatology and related technologies. Provide resident and/or trainee supervision, as necessary and/or appropriate. Work collaboratively with the primary care provider staff.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; May include extended hours and weekends. Functional Statement Title: Physician - Dermatologist

Basic Requirements*: *

  • United States Citizen.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Requirements: Light Lifting (15lbs and under); Light Carrying (15lbs and under), use of fingers and both hands required; walking (up to 3 hours); standing (up to 3 hours); ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; near vision correctable at 13" to 16"; Hearing (aid permitted); mental and emotional stability.
