The Neurology Care Line is recruiting a part-time (0.375 FTE) board certified Neurocritical Care Specialist to join our Joint Commission certified Stroke Center. This specialist will be responsible for consulting on neurology patients admitted to the intensive care and step-down units, resident & medical student education, and weekend attending coverage of the stroke program on a rotating basis.

*Work Schedule; Monday - Friday, On-Call after hours, adjustable tour. *

Basic Requirements*: *

  • United States Citizen.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Preferred Experience:

  • Successful completion of Neurocritical Care & Stroke Fellowship
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience general neurology
  • Board Certified: Neurology, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Board Certified: Neurocritical Care, United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties
  • Eligible for an academic appointment at the affiliated Baylor College of Medicine
