This position is located in the Medical Care Line, Prime Care Section. The individual will be expected to practice Primary Care in a high flow Patient Centered environment. Physician will be expected to be proficient in taking a patient's Medical History, updating charts to show current findings and treatments, order and review tests to identify any abnormal findings and treatments, refer for consults as needed and recommend and design a plan of treatment. The physician will integrate both mandated health screening and guidelines for treatment into their practice. The incumbent will have basic proficiency with a computer and willingness to learn the VA electronic medical record system and other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements*: *

- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Requirements: Light Lifting (15lbs and under); Light Carrying (15lbs and under), use of fingers and both hands required; walking (up to 3 hours); standing (up to 3 hours); ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; near vision correctable at 13" to 16"; Hearing (aid permitted); mental and emotional stability.
