Job Title : Cloud Software Architect

Under broad direction, provides leadership and technical guidance for software architecture for teams and technologies. Serves as a technical resource, providing technical expertise and advice to product management in planning for new or projected areas of software architecture. Helps lead Landmark’s journey to a cloud architecture aligning to long term vision. Provide technical assistance to junior team members. Provide technical input in product planning for a software systems. Facilitate communication of architecture – strong communication skills - written, verbal, and presentational. Ability to influence cross functional stakeholders in product management, engineering, executive management. Experience in leading software development projects and technical leadership excellence.


  • MS Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline.

  • 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, scalability, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of technology and infrastructure as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud.

  • Experience with AWS services or similar public cloud platform.

  • Experience with multiple programming languages, such as , , , , among others.

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Linux, design patterns, code best practices, code reviews, resilient coding, high availability, load balancing and micro-services.

  • Strong communication skills, presentation skills, ownership acumen, and be able to deconstruct complex problems & projects into execution detail.

  • Oil & Gas , E&P industry domain expertise is a plus.
