User Experience Designer

We are looking for world-class UX designers and thought leaders to transform the oil and gas exploration and production industry. You would be working with some of the World’s most sophisticated scientific and engineering products to optimize collaborative global Earth modeling in 3D cloud-based virtual environments. We need UX professionals who understand multi-platform design, large format or heads-up displays, big data dashboards, and immersive controls and interactions.

Role Description

  • Delivers world-class UX for Landmark portfolio of products and web sites

  • Serves as the user advocate while working in cross functional teams

  • Develops UX strategies and serves applies user centered design methods to plan, lead and deliver large scale UX projects

  • Ensures all UX deliverables meet and/or adds to UI standards, UX established practices and guidelines, as well as user and business requirements

  • Manages and/or mentors junior UX team members UI design tools and skills, business attitudes and behaviors and grows future leaders

  • Evaluates organizational processes and provides recommendations for improvements that will foster higher quality and organizational efficiency

  • Performs research in the tools and technology that can be used to innovative UI Designs

  • Provides continual catalyst for innovation for UX and for Landmark

Preferred Education :

Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Visual or Graphic Design, Information Design, Industrial Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, or related HCI discipline is preferred

Work Experience :

  • Candidate must have a portfolio demonstrating 10 years or more of experience designing and testing excellent software user interfaces

Skills/Certifications :

  • Ability to communicate the UCD process and requirements to both technical and non-technical colleagues as well as senior executives

  • Candidate should provide portfolio demonstrating ability to effectively produce world-class UX designs

  • Expertise with Thick/Thin/Mobile enterprise software, as well as underlying UI technologies

  • Experience in one or more of the following: SaaS, BI, analytics and big data visualization GUIs, creating first person point of view GUIs, gaming, control systems for remote navigation and steering, 3D drafting or animation, multi-collaborative immersive environments, virtual reality, heads-up displays, dashboards, GIS or mapping

  • Candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication, presentation, project management, and negotiation skills

  • Expertise with graphic, wire framing and prototyping tools

  • Ability to coach junior staff on the skill development in UI technology areas
