Flex schedule to include evenings and weekends at Hunter Mountain and during the off season.
Practices and promotes the agency’s mission statement in every interaction. Oversees the day to day operation of the Camp. Ensure that the camp meets all federal, state and department of health regulations and agency policy and procedures. When camp is not in session, works on recruiting efforts and other duties to facilitate camp operations. Ability to commute to Nassau weekly from September to May. Develops and implements initiatives to utilize camp in the off-season to meet the respite needs of individuals and families.
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education or related fields or Bachelor’s degree with extensive knowledge/experience within the field of camping and recreation, 7-10 years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities; excellent interpersonal skills; leadership skills and communication skills; prior administrative experience required. 7-10 years of experience managing and developing programs for people with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of Microsoft Word. Ability to utilize Medisked and purchase connections.
