Duties
  • Develops and maintains production statistics to apprise management of results of operations.
  • Manages projects to enhance processing of debts, correction of records, claims, hearings, and waivers and remissions.
  • Collects, reviews, and analyzes, operations data in order to develop and incorporate appropriate changes in branch operational instructions or request regulatory changes.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as experience: performing financial entitlement analysis and support for a large-scale finance and accounting organization and possesses knowledge of financial management principles as they relate to automated pay systems processing and operations.

Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (http://www2.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html).

Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in Federal Service.

Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.
