Position Description

The role of the MCCM Planning team is to partner with Brand teams within a specific Therapeutic Area or Franchise to support the following:

  • Lead brand team’s own thinking on business strategy and planning relating to multi-channel opportunities.

  • Advise brand directors on best-practices and opportunities for reaching customers through multi-channel programs

  • Partner with brand team and manage specific MCCM initiatives to maximize impact.

  • Serve as liaison between rest of MCCM Planning and MCCM Operations Teams and Franchise, in order to leverage enterprise tools, processes, and best-practices. This includes interactions with key third party vendor partners.

  • Develop metrics plan, track program results, and optimize, following a test-learn-adapt methodology

In addition to Franchise-specific responsibilities, each MCCM Planning team member is responsible for becoming a subject-matter expert (SME) for a specific channel. This expertise is leveraged to develop enterprise-wide capabilities for Allergan to raise the capabilities of all brands, and create value without each brand re-inventing a solution.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Become a trusted partner and provide the Pharma/Medical Aesthetics Franchises with day-to-day support, including:

  • Strategic insights for how to achieve brand objectives using MCCM channels

  • Partnering with brands in the execution of specific MCCM initiatives that incorporate best-practices and insights from the rest of the MCCM Planning team in order to improve business impact and outcomes

  • Track results and recommend optimizations to programs

  • Be a key advisor to brand leadership on MCCM related matters

Within the MCCM group:

  • Be a vocal advocate for the Specialty Franchises

  • For the channel SME responsibilities, develop standards, playbooks, and best practices.

  • Responsibility for adoption of these across Marketing.

  • MCCM Planning internal coordination. Partnering with other MCCM planners and MCCM Operations to learn and share MCCM strategies, tactics, successes, and lessons which can help the entire team be successful.


The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience

  • Marketing experience

  • Digital/MCM experience

  • Comfort working in a matrix environment; demonstrated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in relevant therapeutic areas is a plus, but not required

  • Familiarity with MCCM tools and vendors


  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • MBA or advanced degree, or equivalent amount of experience in Marketing, Business, or related field.
