Position Description

We are currently seeking a chemist possessing a strong, productive background in synthetic organic chemistry for a position within Research.

This individual will collaborate on project teams consisting of members from multi-disciplinary groups in research and development. His/her primary responsibilities will be to design/execute routes to novel compounds and discovery/optimization of drug candidates for treatment of diseases in the areas of ophthalmology, dermatology, and inflammation. Besides having a qualified scientific background the successful candidate must be highly motivated and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


A Ph.D in chemistry with 2+ years of related academic or industrial experience is required. The successful candidate is required to have a proven track record of success in methodology and total synthesis. Skilled with computational tools for predictions of physical properties and drug-like molecular properties/interactions required. Knowledge of and experience with chemical literature searching tools for proposing viable approaches to target synthesis and chemical problem solving required. This position is located in Irvine, California and may require minimal travel <10%.
