Senior Project Manager -- Jacksonville, FL


The SPM must have experience at a comparable level of responsibility in projects of similar size,scope, and complexity.

The SPM will have 15 or more years of related experience.

The SPM will have nine or more years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity

The SPM will have experience wording with the past and present PAE business environment

The SPM will have experience working with concepts, practices, and procedures in areas of responsibility

The SPM will have experience working with the management implications of various forms of financial data

Job Functions:

The SPM and DPM will have full authority to act for the Contractor on all contract matters relating to the contract.

The PM or DPM will be on-site during the Government's regular working hours and will be available on-site within one hour after the Government's regular working hours

The SPM will define overall high-level program plans and their inter-dependencies, manage communications between projects, and set realistic objectives for project managers within the program.

The SPM will document program progress including implementation, timeliness, issues , risks, and successes to maintain the program course and determine changes and/or corrections and implement as appropriate or approved.

The SPM will maintain the grade and quality of the program deliverables within defined and agreed upon requirements and oversee adjustments and changes necessary.

The SPM will communicate with client senior management to manage expectations, maintain smooth operations, and build client relationships and communicate program goals and processes to the program team to ensure program continuity.

The SPM will lead major proposal efforts and create strategies to establish business in new markets or in current accounts,function as a subject matter expert and provide project management methodology consulting to business personnel and participate in contract negotiations with clients, sub-contractors, and vendors.

The SPM will balance program resources (people, budget, material, time) to optimize program objectives for assigned projects and monitor and report budgetary concerns to achieve financial and performance objectives.

The SPM will oversee complex projects, identify risks, gather appropriate information, assesses results and determine and recommend risk mitigation solutions and implement as appropriate. The SPM will gather feedback from client on program results, analysis feedback and incorporates same into future programs.

The SPM will determine, obtain, and provide program metrics/status to stakeholders to communicate project progress

The SPM will prepare and recommend operating and personnel budgets for aapproval

The PM will monitor spending for adherence to budget and recommend variances as necessary.

Other Requirements:

The SPM requires strong communication skills needed to interface with high-level customer representative

The SPM requires strong strategic management and planning skills

The SPM will be able to publicly represent the company with internal and external clients.

The SPM will be able to us his/her own judgement and initiative in problem solving.

The SPM will possess a strong ability to manage multiple programs and tasks simultaneously, and switch between tasks quickly.

The SPM must be willing to travel.

The SPM must be able to create and maintain formal and informal networks.


Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Master's degree in a related field
