PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Client Partner (CP) will be responsible for the coordination and management of bids,
customer assignment requests, services pre-sales requests, and customer
relationship management for a pre-agreed portfolio of customers within the Consulting Business
Unit. A principal ‘customer base’ of the Client Partner will be the SAP Sales Team handling
accounts falling within the assigned industry. In this capacity, the CP is expected to be
responsive to customer requests, understand customer profiles and customer objectives, and
support the customer engagement lifecycle. He/ She will work closely with the Account
Executives for the assigned business unit, to generate services revenue for the business unit.
The CP will be committed to maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction in each of their
accounts and growing and developing referenceable customers through their project, resource
and expectations of management efforts.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Responsible for the sales of SAP Consulting Services, which include developing and
implementing sales objectives and strategies and nurturing new businesses
Participates in a team-selling environment, typically working with one or more senior Account
Managers on assigned named accounts in an assigned industry [and/or geographic] territory
Identifies and qualifies opportunities, executes account strategy and generates product,
service and training revenue
Facilitates and maintains successful relationships with SAP customers, which will be
measured by their reference ability and customer satisfaction levels
Work as an integral member of the Virtual Account Team in supporting bids led by the SAP
Lead bids assigned to the CP for customers within their own portfolio
Work within other bids from time to time that will grow the CP’s experience
Maintenance of pipeline in CRM for customers within their own portfolio
Creation of an account plan together with account executive / business dvelopment manager
P/L responsibility for all consulting projects in the relevant customer
Assist with the creation of a business plan for the relevant industry
Achievement of services sales targets within the assigned customer accounts
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience in SAP/ other ERP pre-sales initiatives including proposal preparation and
solution design and an in depth understanding of the mySAP product set, market conditions,
competitors and general system design and implementation issues
