Acts as a strategic and tactical HR Business Partner to the US General Medicine Field Sales business units to facilitate the achievement of the business goals. Able to act as a strategic partner to senior management with the ability to develop, implement, and consult on human resource programs and policies through leadership and innovation. Effective at building value-based relationships with all organizational levels and providing the highest level of service to meet the strategic business needs. Excellent communication and problem solving skills with a strong customer focus. Able to interact, influence and partner with executives at all levels.Core competencies will include; Performance Management, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Training, Policy Implementation and a working knowledge of Employment Law and Compliance.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
With limited direction, provides HR support to selected field sales personnel and management on a variety of issues, including, but not limited to: performance management, employee relations, training, recruitment, diversity, compensation, and organizational development.
Works with the Employee Relations Center of Excellence (COE) to resolve employee relations issues with sensitivity and confidentiality. Examples may include: disciplinary action, medical leaves, harassment claims, and employee claims.
Provides guidance and recommendations for problem-resolution management.
Assists field management with coaching and development of performance documentation including performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary notifications.
Assists with field sales compensation administration including annual merit cycle, promotions and salary adjustments.
Plans and implements individual, team, and organizational developmental efforts necessary to achieve business goals.
These activities are driven by business needs and might include individual coaching and development planning, team development interventions, organizational restructuring counsel and support, staffing assessment and action planning, etc. at all levels within the assigned business units.
Provides input into development of HR policies and processes in the areas of employee relations, leadership development, staffing, diversity, compensation and benefits.
Responsible for being an active, productive and collaborative member of the business unit management team. Leverages resources across departments, corporate sites and within HR COEs to efficiently meet customer needs and drive the business.
Builds rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with employees at all levels, demonstrating the awareness of their needs and responding with the appropriate actions.
Establishes trust and credibility by understanding the culture of the organization, knowing its people, being aware of business objectives and providing a point of view that reflects the HR implications of business decisions.
Works with management to foster an environment that provides ongoing performance and career development feedback and coaching to all employees.
Creates and promotes strong values and ethics within the assigned areas of responsibility.
Ability to travel 30% as needed.
Demonstrates integrity, candor, strength of character, professional conviction, and interpersonal skills to work with individuals and management on HR decisions and actions.
A solid, working knowledge of HR policies, and federal/state legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration. A minimum of 5-7 years prior HR experience including strong performance management, organization development.
A comprehensive knowledge of the HR profession and an ability to apply many of the latest advances and best practices in the field of HR/OD
Proven ability to design and redesign HR processes and programs to create a competitive advantage for the customer organization
Prior working knowledge of organizational effectiveness interventions, change management, executive coaching and leadership development, and facilitating reengineering and or reorganization efforts
Demonstrated strong, proactive, consultative skills which resulted in people seeking their counsel, knowing they will provide appropriate advice with a value-added perspective
Extreme detail orientation with excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of accuracy and follow through.
Pharmaceutical industry experience and Master's Degree preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
