The Senior Compliance Analyst’s responsibilities include monitoring of key business activities and projects in support of the Company's Corporate Compliance program with primary focus in North America. This position requires special emphasis and focus on commercial activities as well as non-promotional activities. This position will also serve as a liaison to internal and external business partners, providing direction and guidance related to Allergan’s Compliance program. This position requires an individual with strong strategic and lateral leadership skills, keen analytical skills, and the ability to create and train on policy and procedures.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively making recommendations on developing and assessing Corporate Compliance programs, training, adherence and effectiveness
Integrating compliance controls into the scope of existing business practices company-wide
Conducting internal risk assessment procedures including interviews of key stakeholders, utilization of analytical procedures and industry trends, data analysis and working collaboratively with other compliance divisions to understand overall business risks and challenges
Reviewing existing policies and procedures, identifying gaps and making enhancements where needed to mitigate identified risks.
Developing, implementing and maintaining compliance-related auditing and monitoring programs across the Company which includes, but is not limited to: sales and marketing activity, grants, sponsorships, medical education, off-label promotion, advisory boards, speaker programs, medical and professional affairs.
Identifying, delivering and presenting monitoring issues and results to management with proactive recommendations on addressing the issues
Providing regular updates and reports to management on Compliance projects such as monitoring activity and data analysis and conducting follow up as needed
Attending key business meetings to build relationships with internal customers and better understand business/compliance strategy, planning, etc.
Providing support during regulatory inspections and assisting in investigations
Maintaining strict ethical, legal adherence and confidentiality at all times.
III. ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interface with Sales Force, Marketing and Medical Personnel
Manage multiple complex projects
Produce reports, presentations, materials, guidelines, documents and letters
Oversee and manage budget, documentation, records
IV. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strongorganization, analytical, project management and team building skills. Ability to prioritize, schedule and manage multiple projects. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point, ,. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills . Good understanding of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and of the roles and authority of government agencies and industry partners, i.e. PhRMA, FDA, OIG, PDMA, Affordable Care Act, PDMA, ACCME, etc.
V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Office Position – with travel up to 30%.
BA/BS degree required; Additional education a plus
Minimum 2-4 years related business experience in the areas of internal and/or external audit/monitoring; healthcare compliance or similar experience preferred
