Research Medical Centeris currently looking for aCardiology Technician - PRN.
_Responsibilities:_ * Under general direction of the Cardiology Nurse Manager, the Cardiology Technician is responsible for assistance in the performance of exercising and pharmacologic stress testing, application, removal and scanning of Holter monitors and performing EKGs. * The Cardiology Technician provides appropriate care to all patients including infants, adolescents and adults. * The Cardiology Technician demonstrates a basic knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and the cardiac disease process. * Assists with transcription and distribution of confirmed EKGs, performs filming of reports and any other activity assigned by manager to assure the department runs efficiently.
* Prefer graduate of approved program for Cardiology Technician,
* BLS certification and successful completion of dysrhythmia course within 6 months of employment.
* BCLS Certification required and maintained. * EKG recognition course required within 6 months of employment. * Effective interpersonal communication and team skills required. * Basic computer knowledge preferred. * 1 year experience in related field preferred. * Basic equipment and machine skills preferred
