UMB Bank Systems Engineer II-Dist Sys in Kansas City, Missouri
Work closely with all levels of MIS to deploy and support UMB infrastructure and application stack including coordination with multiple technical parties including application development, systems, network, and security administrators.
-Assist to triage and coordinate troubleshooting of application issues in development and production.
-Identify opportunities to improve availability, reliablity, and performance of application infrastructure by staying current on technology and exploring new opportunities.
-Provide technical leadership within team and on project teams to accomplish tasks and projects.
-Identify problems, create solutions and guide change across multiple areas.
-Design and develop advanced computing methods to better improve the UMB computing experience.
-Document work and follows UMB corporate, department, and work center policies.
-Contribute to work center practice and policy development.
-Partner and interact with technology vendors in support of the UMB environment.
-Provide a positive example to junior members of the team with regards to attitude, customer service, and teamwork.
-Other duties as assigned.

Specialty Area-Windows Server:
-Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Systems Management
-Exchange and VMware experience preferred
Specialty Area-UNIX Server:
-Advanced knowledge of SUSE, Solaris, and/or AIX
-Veritas clustering & volume management preferred
Specialty Area-Managed File Transfer
-Knowledge of file transfer (ftp/http/scp/cyberfusion/ndm) & shell scripting (UNIX, Wndows, Perl)
-MQ Series and Sterling Commerce background preferred
-Experience with Fault and Systems Management tools (Patrol, MOM, Bladelogic, HP NNM, SMS, or similar)
-Advanced Knowledge of DNS preferred
