he information system security analyst will join a multi-disciplinary team of security specialists, engineers, project managers, and delivery professionals responsible for assessing, transitioning, supporting, and maintaining customers' IT portfolio using Cloud services.
The candidate is expected to work with direct supervision with assignment responsibility commensurate with level of experience.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The position is to provide information assessment and accreditation support over the life-cycle of a system implemented in the Cloud. It includes developing of system security plans and relevant supporting documents like contingency plans, disaster recovery plans, or continuity of operations plans, incident response plans, and configuration management plans. In addition, conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and the ability to provide recommendations for closing gaps or mitigating risks. It may also require the development of strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements.
Opportunity exist to provide information assurance support for the development and implementations of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To assist customers' goals of maintaining sufficient confidentiality, integrity and availability of their information, the candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of NIST Special Publication 800-37, 800-53 and other NIST guidelines and standards and how they relate to and compliment a System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC). It may also include industry and international guidelines and standards such as HIPAA, PCI, ITIL and ISO. Experience writing system security plans, risk assessments, contingency plans, incident response plans, configuration management plans, process and procedures.
Developed and maintain Security Plans and supporting documentation
Conducted, participated or supported NIST 800-37 assessments, PCI assessments, HITRUST assessments or ISO 27001 assessments
Experience with moderate impact systems
In addition, the candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of IT security principles, concepts, policy and regulations. Demonstrated ability to effectively document security controls.
-Certifications from ISC2, GIAC, EC-Council, or CyberSecurity Institute. CISSP or CAP are a minimum.
Security training certification that meets DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program
Prior IT technical experience as a system administrator, systems integration, or systems design also desirable, but not necessary.
