CGI's Onshore IT Services Delivery Center in Lafayette, LA is looking for a Healthcare Data Analyst, to join our team supporting CGI's healthcare client.
Identify and document restricted data elements for strategic enterprise programs: We will work closely with multiple application teams and SMEs to identify and document the Restricted fields with in an application
Develop business use cases, business and data requirements, and related documentation in support of Enterprise Data Management: We will work closely with business owners and stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization to understand, prioritize, synthesize, and document data needs for enterprise programs and MDM assets.
Understand and inventory the business processes and business decisions which are enabled by EDM: We will work with business owners at multiple levels in the organization to understand, prioritize, and document the inventory of business capabilities, business processes, and business decisions that are to be enabled by Enterprise Data Management.
Provide data expertise: We will partner with application SMEs to gain a deep understanding of source data as well as transformation, cleansing, or aggregation rules that impact MDM.
Acts as the liaison between business owners and IT: In addition to the partnership with business owners, we will also partner with other roles including Architects, Designers, Developers, and Testers to ensure enterprise data needs are met. Works closely with systems analysts to ensure functional specifications are properly accounting for business needs. Facilitates meetings, as necessary, to review captured business needs and obtain approvals.
Transfers knowledge to production support team and matrix partners -- provides documentation that can be referenced for cross-training and issue resolution.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
5+ years related experience with healthcare and insurance data.
Bachelors degree in health informatics, computer science, statistics or mathematics.
Ability to analyze data from a health perspective.
Knowledge of healthcare business.
Understand what data is needed to address a business question and how to analyze it and interpret results.
Strong experience with identifying data and information requirements for business intelligence and analytics.
Ability to write basic SQL and knowledge of relational databases.
Proficient in the use of computers and programs that specialize in data collection and data management
Proven ability to extract/source data from multiple data sources and integrate them into a single source view/report/dataset
Demonstrate acumen in data profiling and data modeling
Ability to communicate with business users and translate business requirements
Ability to dissect and learn applications and database solutions
Ability to work independently on projects with minimal direction
Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Smart and Agile
Understanding of Healthcare data and Privacy terms.
At least five (5) years of Business Intelligence Management or related BI service delivery experience
Decent understanding of Business Intelligence related Data Profiling, Reporting Tools, Visualization, Analytics, Dashboards, and Predictive Analysis through tools and technologies Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems
Experience in delivering self-service BI solutions that promote data discovery
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
BI and DW skills
Solid SQL skills
