Job Summary– The Director, Financial Analysis designs, develops and implements revenue cycle financial reports for use by the Shared Services Executive team and Directors. Responsible for interpreting, designing and developing analyses to solve complex operational, financial and/or accounting problems. Assists the Executive team and Directors with developing and maintaining reporting solutions necessary to provide operational, financial analysis and support of operations, including the development of tools to effectively measure performance. The Financial Analysis Director will work closely with Executive Management to research and answer operational trends and results.

Duties (included but not limited to): •Support the SSC departments by providing data and analysis related to trends, financial impact via proactive reviews and adhoc requests. •Responsible for the analysis and reporting of the Bad Debt/CH projections. •Responsible for maintaining and updating Masterfiles (Host/Meditech, GL, Iplan, Log ID, Bill Codes, F/C, Rev Codes, Agency Master, Other Dictionaries) •Works closely with other departments in the development of month-end reports for both external and internal use. Also, prepares and analyzes monthly HCA MORs. •Responsible for SOX testing and security access reviews. •Prepare explanations of swings in accounts receivable and bad debt trends. •Communicate business analysis and reporting requirements to development staff. •Responsible for ownership of the data standardization process and develops, maintains, and automates tools and systems to support department’s monitoring and follow-up activities. •Understands SSC and Revenue Cycle operations and technologies currently in place. •Create exception based report generation for all departments. •Assist Directors with information to improve department performance. •Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement” •Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities •Financial analysis skills - knowledge of research techniques sufficient to collect and interpret data. Knowledge of descriptive statistics to analyze statistical data and prepare estimates. Knowledge of legal and fiscal requirements and regulations. Skill in interpreting and analyzing data. Skill in examining documents for correctness and interpreting their accuracy. EDUCATION* •Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
EXPERIENCE •At least 2 years Managerial experience in large healthcare environment. •Experience and course work in Accounting/Finance analytical reporting. •SQL, BOBJ, Essbase experience strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS* Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
