HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Graduate Registered Nurse - StaRN Program - January 2017 Cohort - Full Time in Las Vegas, Nevada
The StaRN Program is seeking dedicated new grads that are able to commit to this valuable program for a full 13 weeks full time. This comprehensive training will build your knowledge, skills, confidence and prepare you to succeed in your professional career. * A program for those who have graduated within the past 6 months to obtain an educational foundation in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, or Critical Care Nursing. * Program consists of 13 weeks of clinical, didactic and simulation training.
Didactic and Simulation training is provided at a high-fidelity simulation center
Training will provide BLS/ACLS certification. All participants that successfully complete the program will move into Full Time roles at the facility that they were selected by.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: *Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
*EDUCATION: *Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; BSN Preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Basic computer and hospital informatic skills required. Specialty Certification were required; Example: CPR required Complies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programs
*EXPERIENCE: *Current acute clinical care experience preferred
*LICENSURE: *Current Nevada license to practice Nursing Independently maintains license Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice
*AGE SPECIFIC DATA: *Maintains current knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and Demonstrates the ability to incorporate knowledge into nursing process.
