The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time Dermatologist to join our Medicine Specialty Service. The candidate should be fully trained in Dermatology from an accredited training program in the United States.

Responsibilities primarily include outpatient dermatology clinics. Other duties the selectee will be responsible for include:

  • Evaluating, diagnosing, consulting, and ordering diagnostic studies.

  • Performing surgical and non-surgical dermatology procedures on the skin and to particular skin lesions as appropriate on all ages who have presented with injuries or diseases of the skin.

  • Providing consultative series on patients referred from other sections of the hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics.

  • Performing administrative and other tasks as assigned by the Chief of Medicine Service.

  • Work collaboratively with primary care providers.

Work Schedule:**Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Alternative tours of duty must be approved by the supervisor.

Basic Requirements*: *

  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Preferred Experience: Board certification or board eligible in Dermatology.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
