The VA Medical Center in Lebanon Pennsylvania is looking for a full-time urologist to join our team. The positions will be assigned to the Lebanon campus working with our existing urology team. The campus offers a brand new, state of the art, 10,565 square foot surgical suite. This suite features four 650 square foot operating rooms, a procedure room and full anesthesia support. The Lebanon VA Medical Center offers a full spectrum of urologic care.

We are looking for a strong, BC/BE urologist. Endourologic stone and Laparascopic skills are preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, unless otherwise approved. (Call coverage will be shared between all full-time urologists) Functional Statement Title/#: Physician Privileges**

Qualifications

Basic Requirements*: *

  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Preferred Experience: Endourologic stone and Laparascopic skills are preferred.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Requirements: Position requires manual dexterity, standing for long periods, bending, stooping and ability to position patients. Heavy Lifting (45 lbs and over); Heavy Carrying (45 lbs and over); Straight Pulling (up to 1 hour); Pushing (1 – 2 hours); Reaching above shoulder; Use of fingers; Both hands required; Walking (up to 3 hours); Standing (up to 3 hours); Repeated bending (up to 1 hour); Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; Near vision correctable at 13”to 16”; Hearing (aid permitted).
