Grantham University offers associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs online. The University supplies adjunct instructors with the pre-designed online courses, ready to teach. Adjunct instructors may, at their discretion, integrate additional resources to enhance students’ mastery of the coursework. All courses are delivered online through the Blackboard Learning Management System. As an adjunct instructor, you can make a difference in the lives of others!
Grantham University is seeking qualified, adjunct instructors to teach a master’s level accounting course online in the in the Mark Skousen School of Business.
Adjunct instructors are engaged as independent contractors and are not employees of the University. Adjunct instructors are responsible for providing their own equipment and work from their own chosen location.Graduate courses begin monthly. Courses are eight weeks in length and utilize the Blackboard Learning Management System. The course week runs Wednesday through Tuesday midnight. Prospective adjunct instructors must enroll in and successfully complete GU900 Instructor Training Course in order to be considered for an adjunct instructor contract.
Minimum Education Qualifications:Adjunct instructors teaching graduate-level courses must possess an earned doctorate degree, with an emphasis or concentration in accounting, from an institution accredited by an accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). For adjunct instructors holding degrees awarded by non-U.S. institutions, the institutions must be approved by the appropriate governmental or accreditation agency.
All faculty are required to meet the standards established by the Grantham University accrediting bodies upon employment. To be considered to teach at the graduate-level, an individual must meet the minimum requirements:
· Hold an earned doctorate with at least 18 credit hours in accounting.
· All degrees held must have been awarded by institutions accredited by agencies that are recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
· Teaching experience
· Student-centered instructional philosophy
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
· A webcam and high speed Internet access
· Experience using Blackboard (preferred)
· Flexible schedule
