Job Description

Basic Description:

Responsible for fabrication and welding processes to support new product design, production, special projects, and continual improvement ideas. This position will also flex to assembly as needed to support production demand.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety and environmental policies

  • Responsible for inspecting product and ensuring product is built in compliance with ISO Quality standards

  • Engage in generating and implementing employee continual improvement ideas

  • Assemble and weld product per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), bill of materials, drawings, and design specifications

  • Ensure equipment and tools are properly calibrated and perform necessary preventative maintenance duties

  • Required to keep equipment and work area clean and organized

  • Responsible for inventory transactions and accuracy

  • Responsible for removing all slag, spatter, oils, foreign matter from welds when complete, prior to painting.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Two –Year associates or Technical Degree is a plus

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred

  • MIG welding, troubleshooting, and repair experience requited

  • TIG welding, troubleshooting and repair experience required

  • Machining and fabrication experience

  • Electrical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair experience required

  • Hydraulic assembly, troubleshooting, and repair experience required

  • Mechanical systems assembly, troubleshooting, and repair experience required

  • Basic working knowledge and experience with computers

  • Ability to interpret drawings, bill of materials, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and specifications

  • Problem-solving skills and conflict management ability

  • Adhere and comply with all state and federal laws, IS Quality program, and safety program

  • Ability to work daily or weekend overtime

  • Must be able to adjust to a changing work environment, competing demands, frequent changes, delays and unexpected events.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

  • Standing 6-8 hours per day.

  • Bending, squatting as necessary.
