Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Neurology Service is seeking a full-time Neurologist. The incumbent will be responsible for providing specialty and subspecialty patient care in a tertiary hospital setting to adults with neurological conditions, overseeing medical residents and students in inpatient and outpatient settings, and conducting clinical research. Experience in Clinical or basic research is a plus.
An appointment with our affiliate hospital the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, located next door, it available to qualified applications.
Total Salary will include base component and market pay. Final Salary to be determined by local Physician Pay Panel. Physician are eligible for annual performance pay and incentive awards.
Provide specialty and subspecialty patient care in a tertiary hospital setting to adults with neurological conditions. Conduct clinical research. Oversees medical residents and students in inpatient and outpatient settings
Work Schedule: MONDAY-FRIDAY; 8:00- 4:30 p.m.; work schedule may vary depending on the needs of the service; will also be on a call schedule.

- ### Qualifications
Must be proficient in written and spoken English. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Experience in electro diagnostics Expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and botox injections. Subspecialty training in Neuromuscular/EMG, Epilepsy/EEG, or Stroke Experience in clinical or basic research is a plus. Candidates with fellowship training in Stroke or clinical neurophysiology are encouraged to apply.
