As a Maintenance Techinician for our retail stores, you will be responsible for the efficient coordination and implementation of all maintenance work related to the set-up and operation of all equipment, fixtures and facilities at assigned Retail Stores or retail support sites. Completion of work orders and/or PM’s as assigned. Perform and document building inspections on a monthly basis. Logging of expenses and hours worked. Efficient use of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
PRINCIPLE DUTIES: 1. Perform repairs needed at assigned sites within developed skill set. Ability to use hand tools: carpenters', electricians', plumbers' tools and other maintenance equipment as required. 2. Reads blueprints, manuals and building codes to gain better understanding of the work necessary to complete the job. 3. Analyze current facilities conditions at assigned sites to ensure that Goodwill Facilities are being properly maintained and that customers have a safe environment. 4. Communicate with Supervisor and Systems Coordinator any issues noted in the field. Effectively utilize CMMS in accordance with Goodwill Industries of SE WI CMMS processes. 5. Provide Facilities related guidance to the staff at each assigned site. Taking pride and ownership to properly report any issue that make reflect negatively on Retail or Goodwill. 6. Complete assigned work orders and PM’s. Proactively developing any additional work orders that are needed. 7. Conduct & document monthly building site inspections and communication of results. 8. Provides a safe and orderly work environment by proactively identifying safety issues and rectifying them. 9. Reconciles expense records and reports as required. Submit and organize monthly receipts on a deadline. Provide specified documentation to Store Management for cost center detail. 10. Other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum three years experience in related field
Valid driver’s license
Maintenance Electrician license desirable
HVAC certification that allows individual to work with various refrigerants welcomed but not required
Work varied schedule and flexible hours
Adhere to Goodwill Retail Standards to ensure the highest levels of customer and donor service are maintained.
Ability to perform light-duty carpentry, electrical maintenance, painting, and maintenance on retail hardware.
Basic understanding and ability to make minor repairs on Forklifts, Bailers, Compactors, Conveyors, and 3phase equipment.
Posses the ability to work independently. Have the confidence to make knowledgeable Facilities related decisions to the benefit of Retail and Goodwill.
Ability to apply shop mathematics to practical problems
Knowledge of OSHA standards as they pertain to the general maintenance function.
Basic knowledge in maintenance, troubleshooting and operations procedures for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
Full range of motion.
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 70 pounds.
Communicates with store management and supervisor.
Ability to observe the functioning of the work area.
Capable of hearing and responding to warning devices on equipment and fork lift.
The environmental conditions include dust and loud noise. Protective equipment may be required.
