MasterCard has an expert Public Sector team in the UK and Ireland, which provides governments with solutions that help them reduce costs, gain efficiencies, curtail fraud and corruption and advance social progress\n\nThe team develops opportunities for MasterCards issuer, programme manager and acquirer customers across public sector, including central government, local government, NHS, universities, schools, emergency services, housing associations and charities\n\nThe UK and Ireland team leads the world in this discipline\n\n Have you sold a product, solution or concept to the public sector?\n Would you like to be a force for good?\n Are you motivated to change how public sector purchase and pay for goods and services?\n\n\n\nThis team member\no builds relationships with politicians, senior civil servants and influencers to grow the market for government payments\no champions MasterCards procurement and disbursement solutions and brand across UK and Ireland public sector\no leverages MasterCards government experience from around the globe to develop new channel opportunities\n \nThe role\n\n Conduct market development activities and drive market preparation activities, translating public sector strategy to sales and account strategies\n Manage relationships with key public sector departments, including the Crown Commercial Service, the Office of Government Procurement and the central government ministeries and departments in the UK and in Ireland\n Liaise with country account managers, global products and solutions teams, European and Global Government services and solutions team to optimise local sales activities\n\n\nAll About You\n\n Essential knowledge, skills and experience \no Excellent written, oral & presentation communication skills\no Proven sales skills of products or solutions to international or national organisations\no Knowledge of payments &/or card industry\no Experience of managing stakeholders and partners \no Worked successfully in a rapidly changing and developing environment\n\n Desirable capabilities\no Experience of working in public sector &/or selling to the public sector\no Good understanding of the political environment in both the UK and in Ireland\no Desire to make a difference to the financially excluded
