SAP Marketing is seeking a dynamic senior leader to be responsible for demand programs & engagement that will create and accelerate pipeline contribution to the business. This is a new, foundational role within the Experiential Marketing & Strategic Programs organization and will report to the SVP of Experiential Marketing and Strategic Programs.
S/he will define and develop content, services and best practices for a digital foundation while ensuring the execution of demand programs across all key channels. This highly collaborative role will work closely with the Audience & Strategic Partner Marketing team, as well as global marketing functions and regional marketing teams to provide demand programs and respective content production.
The successful candidate will focus on a number key programs which include: drive content production for “always-on”, manage the highly acclaimed Social Selling program and collaborate and align closely with the relevant teams on a digital-first approach. More specifically:
Create demand programs, measure impact and innovate: Develop high impact demand programs to accelerate pipeline and revenue. Consider audience communication and cultural needs across all key channels (digital/social, events, sales, ecosystem), measure impact and adjust plans and tactics in real-time to achieve the best results.
Always-on Demand Generation: Own and optimize content production for all digital always-on presences along the entire customer journey.
Collaborate and Engage : Partner with the Audience and Strategic Partner Marketing and regional marketing teams for always-on and demand programs for the relevant content production and support.
Content Services: Based on strategy and priorities, support required content creation services.
Scale the Brand: Scale and ensure quality of content in line with the SAP brand in close partnership with the Global Brand team.
Enable Sales: Drive the highly acclaimed Social Selling program to further scale and accelerate the approach.
Scale relevant content creation: Agency Management for quality and cost-effective external content creation.
S/he will manage a team of senior managers as well as agency relationships to deliver the required business outcomes.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
This position requires 10 years of business experience with an emphasis on planning and executing multi-touch demand generation programs and campaigns. Experience in field marketing and demand management know-how is an advantage. An undergraduate degree in marketing/business (or equivalent) is required and an advanced degree is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to drive execution at global and regional levels to deliver quick results in a highly collaborative environment. He/she will have a deep understanding of digital and traditional marketing mix elements and a proven track record in driving and implementing innovative and impactful demand generation programs and campaigns. The candidate should be a strong innovator and able to evangelize new concepts and ideas with C-level executives inside and outside of SAP.
The ideal candidate would also have experience managing global teams (manager managing managers) and working in an international, matrix-based and collaborative organization setting. S/he must be an innovative, pragmatic and results driven leader with the ability and desire to deliver tangible business impact, outcomes, and results.

Global – International / global experience with the necessary cultural awareness and respect. Preferred to have extensive hands-on management experience in a multi-national environment and prior B2B or IT/software industry experience.

Strategy to Execution – Someone who can design strategic digital marketing plans in a highly collaborative environment and also be able to successfully turn these plans into reality in the field. While experience in the IT sector is preferred, the successful candidate may also come from another industry such as consumer products where use of innovative web and social media strategies are used to transform brand and customer experience.
