Finance and Risk Infrastructure (FRI)
Finance and Risk Infrastructure is a new Citi global function, formed from parts of the Finance and Risk global functions, to:
Globally implement common data, reporting, technology
Integrate infrastructure activities
Drive straight through data processing
Produce more effective and efficient processes and governance
Enable a foundational reporting infrastructure across Citi businesses and global functions by ensuring consistency within the Finance and Risk disciplines
Realize operational, organizational and financial benefits
Finance and Risk Infrastructure PMO is responsible for providing organization and initiative level PMO support to strategic initiatives across both Finance and Risk and is responsible for governance, oversight, execution and reporting on key regulatory or strategic initiatives across both Finance and Risk.
Facilitates the creation and adoption of common data standards via initiatives such as GENESIS, Full Suite, and the US Regulatory Reporting Initiative.
Creates partnership with Finance and Risk teams to design, coordinate, manage, and deliver improved process designs across the function.
Drives standardization and utilization of shared services in conjunction with Finance and Risk Operations (FRO).
Ensures all technology initiatives in Finance and Risk are aligned to our strategic Business Architecture.
Under the sponsorship of the Citi Controller and, as a part of FRI, this role will be responsible for providing support for the FRI Organization PMO activities as well as governance, reporting, oversight and communications working closely with other members of the FRI PMO team, GFTS PMO, program and project managers, senior Finance and Risk managers and the FRI management team.
Coordinate PMO governance activities, reporting and Monthly Management Review (MMR) process for FRI:
Coordinate, review and provide critical challenge feedback on MMR submissions with Project Managers
Facilitate MMR meetings with Controllers, Tax, Treasury and FP&A
Work with FRI leadership, GPOs and Finance management to develop content for the monthly Best In Class Steering Committee meeting
Work with the FRI PMO Lead to manage the full Finance book of work, including regular analysis, reporting and oversight of key milestones, issues, risks and dependencies
Drive consistency of presentation formats and content (Excel / PPT)
Coordinate additional centralized monthly and periodic reporting content, as required
Lead a Communications Working Group with a focus on:
Communications related to Finance Transformation Initiatives, Progress, Roadmap
Creating standard communication / collateral to be used by senior management as part of town halls and other communication forums, focusing on Global Process Owner (GPO) areas’ mission, objectives, progress and vision
Working closely with Controller Initiatives, GPOs and Finance leadership/management drive the development and execution of the Communication plan
Interface with heads of Tax, Treasury, Controller, FP&A and Shared Services on Transformation related Communications related matters
Assist with development and maintenance of content on the FRI webpage
This position involves innovating program management solutions utilizing SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and other media; creating documents in Word, PowerPoint & Excel; tracking deliverables, issues and other items in Excel. The position may involve some technical documentation, and requires the ability to clearly communicate in both written and verbal formats, as well as a high level of organizational ability. The core strengths required for this position include but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s Degree required
5-10 years PMO or PM experience with large complex strategic programs
The individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, and have exceptional interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
A desire to expand knowledge of Citi Finance and Risk, processes, data and platforms as well that of enterprise wide Product and Geography organizations
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact at senior levels of the Finance organization
Self-starter who can work without detailed oversight but provides appropriate level of communication to management, and can identify risks and escalate in a timely manner
Ability to work effectively with project teams/leaders across all functional areas and levels
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple deliverables and ad-hoc requests
Ability to quickly understand, dissect and solve complex problems
Experience tracking project milestones using MS Project
Experience working with regulatory / audit requests a plus
Experience in a complex Program environment with tracking, planning, monitoring and reporting of projects a plus
Excellent technical proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, & Word required
Technical proficiency with Sharepoint configuration and maintenance a plus
Financial services experience preferred
PMP certification preferred
