Position Description

CGI is seeking current students who anticipate graduating from college at the end of the 2016-2017 academic year, interested in careers in the Information Technology field. Our Entry-Level Technical Analysts typically have a demonstrated interest in information technology and business, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. Technical Analysts will be placed on one of our many projects and could be doing a number of different tasks.

What you’ll need:

•A bachelor’s degree from a 4-year institution by August 2017

•Academic background that focuses on information technology or information systems with exposure to computer-based technical content

•Solid understanding of configuration management and the systems development lifecycle

•Working knowledge of script development

•Java or C++ programming experience is preferred

•A great attitude and hunger for learning

•Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills

•Ability to work within a team environment

•3.0 GPA (strongly preferred)

•Ability to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time

What you’ll do (assignments may include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas):

•Test and implement new technologies and applications

•Provide user support in a helpdesk environment

•Assist technical architects with infrastructure requirement development

•Perform project code review

•Install and configure software packages

•Investigate and debug software errors, troubleshoot application issues

•Develop and execute various scripts

•Write technical documents
